About the Calaveras County 2026 Election Initiative

2024 Calaveras County, Board of Supervisors, Election, Candidates, Vote, Murphys, Tourism, Voting

Frustrated Citizens and Business Owners

  • We are a collective of under-represented Calaveras County business owners and citizens, from Murphys to Valley Springs, who have reached the limits of our tolerance with ineffective and conflicted Calaveras County government and we are doing something about it in the 2026 election.

2024 Calaveras County, Board of Supervisors, Election, Candidates, Vote, Murphys, Tourism, Voting

Conflicts Beget Conflicts

  • We are done tolerating Calaveras County-sanctioned and institutionalized conflicts of economic interests, cronyism and exclusionary collusion through the willful suppression of entrepreneurialism and innovation in favor of select support of legacy personalities, businesses and industries through the advocacy of inexperienced and - we allege - inept individuals entrenched in a range of both Calaveras County governmental and business bureau leadership positions.

  • Calaveras public corruption must end.

  • There is an election coming up in 2026...

2024 Calaveras County, Board of Supervisors, Election, Candidates, Vote, Murphys, Tourism, Voting

The Opaqueness Between Conflicted Government and Ineffective Business Bureaus

  • Calaveras County is geographically twice the size of Rhode Island with a population of approximately 46,500, there are multiple business bureaus with leadership and boards also serving as government officials.
  • Our level of frustration with institutionalized intransigence and incompetence has reached its threshold.
  • These business bureaus need to be purged of ineffective leadership, restaffed, and consolidated into financially viable and sustainable entities with a common mission to support existing and emerging innovative Calaveras businesses, as well as bring new businesses and monied tourists to Calaveras County.
  • Institutionalized incompetence and cronyism must be removed from public office.
  • Empty promises are not acceptable.
  • The future of Calaveras County hinges on the 2026 Election.
  • We need action - not empty words and promises - from our Calaveras County leaders!

  • These fire districts protect Calaveras County, responding each year to thousands of medical emergencies, vehicle fires, structure fires and wild-land fires.
  • Our fire districts will now receive well-deserved financial assistance assuring enough firefighters and state-of-the-art equipment will be available and ready to respond to emergencies 24/7.

  • The most critical required improvements include bathrooms, refuse collection, street cleaning, parking, sidewalk rehabilitation, a necessary Main Street pedestrian bridge over Angels Creek is essential for public safety, crosswalks and traffic control, and enhanced law enforcement presence.
  • The above issues have been repeatedly addressed to county government for decades, yet these issues remain.
